Juan Enrique Tacoronte Morales

Graduated in Russia in 1985, where he completed his doctoral studies in 1989 (organic synthesis and catalysis), he has been, from 1992-2023, a pre- and postgraduate professor at various universities and research centers, focusing on eco-sustainable green chemistry, the utilization of biotic-abiotic resources, and the production of bioactive derivatives using a structural-functional and chemical-evolutionary perspective. He conducts studies on the chemical prospecting of biodiversity as a source of molecular resources. He has authored over 70 publications, book chapters, and patents, and has participated in various R&D & Application projects, as well as in mentoring master's and doctoral programs linked to the application of eco-sustainable green chemistry. From 2013-2016, served as a Prometheus N1 Researcher of Ecuador at the Central University of Ecuador. He was a faculty member at the Technical University of Esmeraldas (2019- 2023), where he taught chemistry subjects and their systemic connection to the strategic utilization of natural resources. In 2024 was focused on forensic chemistry and teaching at the Police Technological Institute in Quito, Ecuador. Currently a consultant specializing in fine chemistry, eco-sustainable chemistry, and applied chemistry in pharmaceuticals, vector control, and ecological chemistry, including an education in chemistry as a fundamental science
